Business Opportunities in Peru and Chile
EDC is broadcasting two new webinars about how the evolving Pacific Alliance, comprised of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, is providing new opportunities to Canadian companies.
With a combined population of more than 220 million and a GDP of $2.3 trillion, the Pacific Alliance represents a lucrative market for Canada: in 2016, Canada’s merchandise trade with the region totaled $48 billion, and Canadian direct investment reached $49.6 billion.
Moreover, the Alliance recently invited Canada, along with Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, to become Associated States, a process that will include a free trade agreement with the Alliance as a bloc. In addition, a Canada-Pacific Alliance Joint Declaration of Partnership has identified six areas of increased cooperation, and Canada has four cooperation projects with the Alliance worth more than $23 million.
To help you find out how you can benefit from this dynamic market alliance, EDC and the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) of Global Affairs Canada are pleased to bring you two informative and interactive webinars.
